A Short History!
Okay so here we go, I am not going to go into too much detail here because I feel it is unfair to you to burden you with all the gory details on my past. Instead I would like to give you a Short synopsis of my past. By understanding and reading this you will get a better appreciation of why I am at this particular point in my life and perhaps why I am turning in this direction, i.e. the Internet.
Many years ago now I joined The Metal Box Company as a craft apprentice, in those days the apprenticeship was four years. I attended college and to my surprise I passed the exam’s with credit. Shortly after I finish my apprenticeship I joined the Cadbury Schweppes company at Bourneville in Birmingham. I stayed at Cadburys for two years on the management training scheme, by this time I had realised that my forte was in a more practical field rather than being desk bound. I answered an unemployment advertisement in the Birmingham evening mail for machine tool fitter.
To my amazement I succeeded in getting through two interviews, and was offered a job as a service engineer for one of the biggest Japanese machine tool company’s. This was a career I followed for almost 30 years. In June 2008 I decided enough was enough. The time had come to get my life back. I had had enough of leaving home at 4 AM on a Monday morning and returning home at 10 o’clock on a Friday evening. Okay I was working on the best machine tools in the world, I was working for one of the best machine tool company’s in the world, but I had no life. I needed to get my life back. I needed to get a girlfriend, and what is more a social life. I longed for family life. Okay this I know you all take for granted, but we all crave for the things we have not got.
So in June 2007 I bought a house with a friend of mine. We employed an architect and we drew up plans to convert a four bed roomed house into two three-bedroom apartments. So two years on we now have the bottom apartment rented out and the top apartment is about two weeks away from finishing.
Over the years I have cultivated a keen interest in computers and the Internet, I have managed to build my own computer, more through good luck I feel rather than expertise. I have a lively interest in Internet marketing, having purchased several courses over the past couple years and indeed wasted a great deal of money; a few weeks ago I was given Alex Jeffery’s website address. It was suggested I watch the video.
So I guess the rest is self-explanatory, so here I am a relative newbie on the Mark Terrell’s Internet marketing course. On this blog I would like to try and take you through the steps I am taking in learning all I can about Internet marketing.
