Twitter or Autotweet That Is The Question?
Hello everyone, another post and this time I’d like to talk about twitter, mainly because one of you visitors actually left a question or comment asking me about auto tweeting which was mentioned in my posts.
I guess you’ve all heard of twitter in fact I would think it’s probably a safe bet to assume most of you are members and have an account at twitter anyway, and by this time are quite used to tweeting to your friends and followers.
If you’re new to tweeting go along to Twitter and register for an account, it’s free to join. When you choose a name it’s not unlike choosing a domain name, you want to think along the same lines. You want to choose a name that is either similar or incorporates your product name or your name.
It is easy to build up quite a following on twitter however it can be very time consuming, this is why I use a little program called Autotweeting. This program has a monthly subscription but it’s not a great deal of money and when you start to make money from your website this will become I am sure quite insignificant.
There are a couple things to bear in mind when using twitter however, they are quite obvious when you think about it, if you want somebody to follow you, you must follow them first. Don’t just follow anybody. You need to target people who have the same interests as yourself, it is not difficult just use the search tag.
When the users see you have followed them they will check out your twitter profile and look at some of your tweets, if the tweets that you have made are of interest to them which they should be the chances are they will follow you back, this is what you want.
Unfortunately not everybody you follow will follow you back, after giving them a reasonable time if they don’t, then stop following then.
Something to bear in mind is, because twitter has grown beyond all expectations twitter is now putting limits on how many people you can follow at a time. There are programs out there that will enable you to follow thousands of twitter members almost instantly this is not what you want. You want a steady growth of followers and you want to follow a steady number of people.
The reason we’re all looking for large numbers of followers is quite simply the more followers you have the more chances you have to get people to come and look at your blog or your website. But it is worth remembering at this point Alex tells us not to pimp our stuff on twitter directly but to use twitter to engage with people and build relationships with them.
